Excel V® Plus Laser

Excel V® Plus Laser is the gold standard laser for treating vascular lesions, such as spider veins and other vascular marks. We use the latest best in class version of the laser which is designed to treat both the deeper and harder to reach vessels, as well as the more superficial ones.

The real advantage of the Excel V® Plus laser, however, is a cold sapphire crystal that cools the treated skin allowing for greater comfort during the procedure. While it may take two or three treatments, we can generally clear at least 95 percent of spider veins for our clients.

How many treatments will I need?

For spider veins, two to three treatments can produce a reduction of 95% . For treatment of rosacea and port wine stains, three to six treatments are common. We also suggest you have one to two maintenance treatments a year.

What are the possible side effects?

Although most patients report few if any side effects, some may experience a slight redness or swelling of the skin or bruising.

Do Excel V® Plus Laser treatments hurt?

Most patients easily tolerate the warming or slight sting from the laser pulse on their skin. If you are in discomfort, we offer a topical anaesthetic to numb the skin.

What improvements can I expect with Excel V® Plus Laser treatment?

For spider veins, immediate results can be dramatic. Over the course of two the three treatments you may see most of disappear. Results for minimizing rosacea, freckles, and port wine stains are more subtle and require more treatments before you see noticeable improvements.
